While still working with his family in the flower business, Spence would emcee live holiday demos for audiences of up to 200 people. This ignited his passion to perform on stage as a singer and comic. During the 9 years he lived in Manhattan, Spence performed several cabaret shows in well-known venues including Don’t Tell Mama and The Duplex. After a years-long hiatus, the “bug” has bitten him again.
